Jap - UK speedo conversion

Hello,
I\'ve had my Jap REX chipped to convert the Speedo reading and de-limit the car.  Problem is, the dial obviously still reads KPH even though its displaying MPH.  I don\'t know if I\'m just being fussy wanting the dial face to show MPH instead of kp/h, but Ive also been told the car will fail its MOT if it displays KPH but reads MPH?  Anyway, Ive searched high and low for aftermarket replacement dials - which I cannot find.  I called Mazda who quoted £350 for the MPH part!  And all the breakers only have Jap (kp/h) cars.  What have all you guys and gals done and do you have any ideas how I can solve the problem?

I think most people use a nicely placed MPH sticker.

Ah!  I wondered if that was the case.  I was worried over time the glue on the back of the sticker would start to lift, allowing the corners of the sticker to hit the revolving pointer.  I guess you have to use seriously sticky stickers!  
ScuttleRX just showed me some replacement ones which look just the job!

I just used some black electrical tape over the "k" - sorted.

It only has to read kph for sva, it is not relevant for mot, it can read in anything for mot.

Gotta set of white dials up for grabs if you want them . They have MPH on them full set for speedo, rev counter, fuel, oil pressure, water temp and all heater controls. Cost me £80.00 make me an offer I can\'t refuse and there in the post too you. Best regards Leigh.

Easiest way is black marker pen over the "k" so it read "m/h" - it  doesn\'t fall off. Mind you, the hard bit is extracting the insutrment panel - just been there and just reassembled it all and it\'s a pain in the arse when it\'s raining and the car is in a sloping drive!
What you could do I guess it use a MPH sticker on the front of the speedo perspex face. I had a motorcycle that was imported from Italy and the KMH to MPH conversion on that was just done with a load of different numbers and MPH stuck on the front! Don\'t think it would be legal for SVA but no problems for MOT as far as I know.

Understand that bud! I prefer the black look, but like the UK type face with both MPH and KMH. Thats the only reason I asked!!! :-)
