Hi again!

As i finally got rid of my turbo problem (solenoid) the car has been good. till last weekend, when i noticed that i get primary boost to 0.8 bar...then transition....0.8-0.9 on both, but then it drops it to a stable 0.5 bar and keeps it there when having both turbos on go go. Any idea why it has dropped 0.3ish bar suddenly? i jumps to .8-.9 when the secondary kicks in but then drops to that .5 and stays there.

I was thinking about making the cheap non seq mod and remove the airpump aswell as we don\'t have emission tests on the rex in Finland. I the stock ecu capable of handling the non sequential mod or do i need to upgrade it to the power fc? I was thinking about this because i would think the fuel maps are made to work someway with the stock boost curves.

The car has only a forge blow off and intake kit installed. came with mazdaspeed exhaust (backbox atleast) and has both cats.

what about other options than the PFC? Pettit has some softwares but are they any good as they are pre mapped (non dyno tested with the subject vehicle), Is the power fc really any good as is or does it need a tune right away? The point here, if i buy one new or used from members here, can i just hook it up and drive away if my mods are as above? also will it work ok if i make the non seq?

also. how much vacuum hoses/solenoids other (what) can i remove if i make the simplier non seq? i don\'t somehow trust on the solenoids etc and i want to remove as much as possible. But then, i don\'t want to start the project of removing the turbos now as i don\'t have that much time and not that good place.

Oh one more...try to handle all this stupid hassle im throwing in. How can i tell what model my car really is? it\'s silver 1993 and was sold only as an rx-7 tt. it has 2 oil coolers tho, and the seller didn\'t know it as he just imports these. fabric front seats and leather rears, has ac aswell. no sunroof, has ABS ofcourse, but no airbags. the vin is EFD3S-114459

if thety are the oridginal cats my guess is one is knackered, blocking the exhaust.

if it has twin cats its a uk model.

the base map is usualy ok for filters and back box, but its always a good idea to have the map checked soon after.

Ok so that may cause the lower boost? the idle is unstable in my opinion, i don\'t know how stable they are from factory, but sometimes it runs very well and sometimes a little like buuuubutbuuubutbuuu....depends on the day really. i changed almost all of the vacuumhoses when i replaced the charge relief solenoid so i\'m not sure why it idles like that.

I think the non seq will help on that aswell.

The car is from japan. i will try to take som pics from underneath the car when i get her up.
