bit **** mate! though you had gone up to XO to get it fixed?

Bobbit

I did, they\'ve had it for nearly 2 weeks. Took them 4 days after i dropped it off for them to even look at it and there was a bit of a mix up where i thought they were gonna drop out the box and make sure of the prob and they thought i was gonna order the part and then they were gonna drop out the box.

Not a happy bunny as they\'ve had the car for nearly 2 weeks and so far they have only looked through the inspection plate.
Turns out that the retaining clip that hold the release bearing inplace had either come off or broken so i need to replace that, i\'ve a feeling that it had popped off and it was not fitted correctly but XO recon it has broken.

So it looks like i\'m gonna have to fork out more money to get them to install a new one.

would be good to have a few rex\'s at the next JNE meet :D

if the clip has come off you can just bend it back into shape but make it a tiny bit smaller to make a tighter fit

Thats good advice Karl, only prob is that the clip should not come off due to the design, see this vid on youtube: http://http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uPCi4RpGQCU
So looking at the vid i think it has not been fitted correctly and the garage is at fault. I\'m happy to help them change the clutch over but i\'m buggered if i\'m forking out £300 to fix a problem they caused
