I can\'t find the rule book, so I don\'t know why I can\'t post on certain boards. Guess it\'s because I\'m new???? Anyway...........

Clive, on the Series 1 board (where I am not allowed to post) mentioned the RX7 review in Classic Car Weekly. Diligent to a fault I set out to track down a copy of CCW and wore out several pairs of shoes in the process. There was simply not a copy to be had in North Wales. I even went over the border into England - W H Smiths at Chester had none and not only that they didn\'t stock it - ever !!!

If anyone else is having the same problem may I advise that the back numbers department is on 01959 541444 via a switchboard. Note also that the CCW website does NOT belong to Classic Car Weekly - this belongs to a previous owner of the mag and the phone numbers are wrong.  CCW editorial can be reached on 01733 347559.
Phew !

as for the posting in other areas, I think you have to be a paid up member of the Mazda Rotary Club to post in the members area

... if you are a member send a PM to one of the mods to get you account changed

Hi Mike,
Oh - I didn\'t even know that we could pay. I can\'t find (a) any way of paying or (b) who to pay or (c) how much to pay. I must be going bananas, I\'m not usually this thick - well......not quite. As it happens the tooth fairy or someone has opened things up for me and I can post here and there. It\'s a good board and it\'s nice to be able to take part.

Nope! I didn\'t even open Photoshop up today, though I usually do. I had to make a vector image of a photo of the Sav/RX-7 badge on the side of my skateboard and I like CorelDraw better for vector stuff. The I finished it off in Corel Photopaint, so it\'s Adobe\'s day off.

I think I\'ve screwed up the new attachment I just made - we\'ll see when I press the \'Submit\' button.

I keep seeing you on various boards world wide. Great, isn\'t it?

....not as bad as I thought. In fact I reckon it will be OK.

Click the purple button on left that says membership ... should be an aplication form somewhere in there

I think I should become a moderator :D

Phranque

i kid you not - I\'ve chekced every page thoroughly and cannot find such a purple button, or any colour of button which says \'membership\'. I haven\'t checked the \'Search\' facility, that page won\'t let me in.

On which page resideth ye Purple Button?

I\'m scared to press \'Submit Reply\' because I KNOW that as soon as I do this I will suddenly see the Purple Button, plain as day for all to see.

Oh well,  here goes..............

MikeLMR

its the 7th purple button of nine on the main site before you enter the forum ( the way I view it the buttons are always on the left of the forum)

heres a link

I\'ve found out why I was having the problem, but I still can\'t explain how I got there. The page I was accessing for the club was:

http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/index.php

to which I must have been directed by a search engine or something.  As a matter of interest Mike just try that page - you\'ll find there are no buttons and not only that there\'s no way out of it back to the main pages that I can see. There are various buttons in grey to other sections and I used these to register, thinking that this was all I had to do. I\'m even on the member\'s list and this further convinced me that I was \'in\'.  Having said all that I can vaguely remember seeing the \'main\' page a few weeks ago, but only once and I can\'t remember the circumstances.

Thanks for your help in solving the problem. I now have purple buttons

No wonder I thought I was going bananas. Try the page, Mike!

Yes, that is one of the problems of having a site based on frames. If you\'d clicked on the mazdarotaryclub.com image at the very top, you\'d have been taken to the proper home page. (Course, you wouldn\'t know that...)

Cheers,
Martin.

Hello Martin,

Thanks for that - yes, it threw me completely! I only do web design as a hobby so I bow to your greater expertise but isn\'t the problem more that the frames have their own independently accessible full urls rather than their being integrated into the coding for the \'parent\' url?  I haven\'t used frames for years though so I\'m not sure. I solve all my problems with tables, like the coward I am!
Regards,
Frank
