it used to be my car :D

here is the story

1 - i bought it from a chap in Northampton
2 - i had it for 12 months ( ish )
3 - in this time a van backed into it and scrathced the bumper
4 - car was a financial write off
5 - i got a cheque and sold the car for £400
6 - car then appeared in wigan for £1200
7 - i went to look at it - and it still had some rubbish in the glove box that i forgot to remove
8 - it then went missing for a while and appeared back on ebay with no engine
9 - he was gonna stick a 200sx into it
10 - then prisspringle got his hands on it - and thats the last i heard

if you look at //www.fc3s.co.uk - you will see a little write up about it and some mag shots that were done just before i bought it

did the car still have the 9 speaker stereo setup with the panasonic head unit and amp under the dash??? it was sooooo good

how long ago was it that you owned it?? the last bloke i sold it to lived in dorchester and would of owned it from around 1998-99ish

grinder

9 speakers - hell no :(

im sure there was some sort of amp under the dash - really small - didnt think it did anything

i bought the car ... errrrrrrrrrrr 2002 i think so not sure where it was for the missing 3 yrs

it was a great little car to be honest - when i got shut it had about 106K on the clock and was still running fine - it was using oil like it was going out of fashion but still started OK

i have a few more pics of it somewhere

i didnt realise it used to belong to someone on here !

yep from memory it had the top of the range panasonic 60w per channel head unit with slimline 6 disc changer, lightweight kenwwod componant mids in the doors with tweeters on the dash and crossovers mounted on each side of the tunnel, rear componants in the rear with tweeters mounted by the c pillar with inline crossovers with the 100ish watt pioneer amp powering a 10" kenwood sub in the boot.  it was about £1200 quids worth at the time

i had the car for around 3 years from 60k i got it from a friend in the trade who had it on his forcourt for £3750 i got him down to £2500 as a trade sale which was what it owed him. i did about 30k in it then sold it for £2k with the stereo in it as the car i bought already had a good setup. i put the rotechnics manifold on it took off the air pump and sorted the mixture setting etc out but it already had the full stainless system fitted when i got it. i also put the panel filter in it which was either green or k and n. the car was excellent never missed a beat but i think the guy who bought it was a bit clueless at the time as i asked him if he knew about rx7 starting when warm and he said he did then a week later i got a tel call from his wife who had flooded it in town with the kids and a boot full of shopping on board :Laugh :Laugh

Brett

This car was in EVO before Stu got it - some guy had spotted it languishing in a field where it had been for several years.  He ragged it on the trackdays for a few months then sold it on to Stu. :wave
