Can someone please explain how the coolant in the coolant reservoir gets taken into the AST? I replaced the coolant today and noticd that there is only one hose going to the reservoir and it\'s at the top.

So I was just wondering how the cooling system gets the coolant from the reservior. I assume it get\'s siphoned out but what causes the siphoning?

Thanks.

Are you sure you\'re talking about the AST? The AST has 3 pipes - the expansion tank has only one. The expansion tank takes water when it expands due to heat, and then gets drawn back into the system when it cools down.

I was looking in the manual today just to make sure i replced the coolant properly and it reffers to the tank under the driver side head light as the cooant reservoir.

I pulled the pipe out of thecoolant reservoir and it\'s quite long and goes straight to the bottom of the tank, and the manual says make sure that the level in that tank is full.

So I\'m curious to how the system is confgued :)
