Ok wee update
After a bit more filler/sanding more filler more sanding lol i got to this..


Need a little more filler on the right side just to close the gap a little for the fan controller, but its nice n snugg now lol



And a heavy coat of paint to fill all the tiny holes :S


And the battery box lid fabed up n ready fer paint

looks good, im thinking of making a similar pod for my boost controler so this thread will be a massive hep.

one question though, wont it get in the way for your elbow when driving.

nah its ok, the angle iv sat it at is ok for me, to be honest the cubby box thing got in my way more than this does..

I reckon it really brakes up the silver and basically im luving it!!

Its funny cos i would have voted to keep them silver but works well with the bonnet and wing!

Ok update time heres some pics of the finished consol, shes all painted and looking luvely :yes, o and my spraying has somewhat improved, this is the finish without any sanding/polishing done, straight oot the gun lol







the other bits are finished too so i`ll pop installed pics up tomoz

ok some finished pics, i think im guna colour sand and add a few coats of clear as i reckon the paints gunna mark easily :S might as well do the rest of the dash too

Now onto the commander.. o it never ends lol..

Right im a cheap as so i use everything i cn find :yes

So take one removed arial


Remove the end cap.


Grind and sand it smooth and to reduce the width as it wont quite fit, but not too much so its loose.



Posistion the commander, the angle on the arial is perfect.



So all i need to do now is make a holder from fiberglass of the commander, bond to the bracket, fill and paint and im done.. easy :S
