In my cars theres really not many places left to put these bugger apart from the glove box but then i cant use um that easily.. so... the template..


And where its gunna go notice the hammers in easy reach for when it goes t!ts up..

Here the base moulded into the consol part..




And noo the top sections been done, needs alot of cleaning up and more glass to make it stronger but its taking shape

looks good carnt wait to see it done! looks a good place to put them! but they look like they are going to facing away from you the way you have put them in like they will not be facing towards to driver if you get what i mean? have not sat in my rx7 for a while so carnt really remember!!

they angle forward slightly but i checked it out before i stuck um in lol... they sit perfect so a quick glance down and there easily and quickly readable, not that its matters too must for the turbo timer..

Ooook..added a few more layer of glass then sanded it all smooth, applyed a layer of filler...





Sanded smoooooth like a babys bottom.. (so im told)





And installed, just need to fab up a face plate noooooo.. and its about done, i have added more filler to the inside just to reduce the gap thats around the controllers

That\'s well good, mate. Most ingenious use of the (very limited) space in a FD! Gives me an inspiration as to where to hide the control units for my new gauges. Now all I need is the talent to do it! Have you checked how often you whack the controllers with your elbow yet, though?

yip thats why its angled no elbow knocking plus if i did then the smoothed curve at the back dosnt catch.. im brainy :S

the only think that i used the storage bin for that used to be there was for me fog light button lol
