Is the breaking down of these wheels simpy a case of undoing the bolts?

I\'ve the identical wheels to you and on one the seal has gone between the outer and inner rim. Need to get it resealed but thinking of doing it myself if it\'s not that hard to do!

interloper393

the seal on these is just a run of jelly like glue, its easy to remove n split, you`ll need a 12point socket tho for the bolts.. and also a few tubes of black sealent.

Cheers for getting back to me!

Easy to get the sealant? Any particular one, or would some standard silicone stuff do it?

(I\'m useless at this sort of thing which is why I generally send my stuff to garages but am trying to save here and there now while petrol\'s so expensive!!)

interloper393

i use sikaflex or however u spell it lol.. but dont fit the tyre n fill with air until it`s cured for a day or so lol.. i did n the air squeeze the stuff through the rim :S

I cant believe i\'ve only just found this thread, you\'ve done some amazing work there bud. How long did it take you to remove the interior? I\'ve been thinking of getting mine out and updated and this has inspired me. Also is fibre glass easy to work with? Never used it but you make it look dead easy so i may give it a whirl
:Laugh LOL

heres a pic after 3 coats of clear with a sand bck inbetween each coat, a final 2000grit wet sand tomoz and a polish and it`s getting fitted :)

Bobbit bud, interiors a doddle to remove, just a few screws n pop clips and its out lol.. fiberglass is easy if you have a few tips, give me a call anytime n i cn talk you through a few steps.. its great to work with after a few attempts just to get the hang off how things work n form.. :)
