Quote from: MimsFit your numberplate in the window, there are no laws on where a number plate should be, as long as it is easy to read from the front or back and meets British Standard i.e. lettering and font size.
Bit of a difficult one that some coppers will argue that its not fixed to the front of the car

Looks great for cooling my bumper doesnt really have the biggest opening in the world allready had to make a extra plate up just so i get some air to the intercooler this thing keeps it wide open when im moving. The whole thing about a import having a smaller plate from the dvla website never seems to work at mot time

i have one on my car. although its not on a spring, its loose enough to let air through but then flaps back down when it stops.

Its got me into trouble with the local constabulary a couple of times so now i tightened it up so its at the correct angle.

I think i might try my luck with a smaller numberplate.

Just print off a copy of the PDF file which is available on the government website about numberplate laws and show them that there is nothing within the law that suggests a numberplate needs to be fixed to the front of the car. Also it gives info on the letter and number sizing and as these are imports you can put smaller plates on them.
