spring has come early and i have seen some fabulous birds in my neighbours garden, they also have some 2 pairs of robbins and locally there are many parakeets, lovely green feathers, a change in climate or is the weather just warming up in another cycle, there is sufficient evedence to say that the uk hosted crocodiles and lions in the past.
I use my rx3 most dry weekends and enjoy the trail of noise and smoke from the 205s on the back.

happy spring to all who read this!!

warm regards jon

Jon, loads of parakeets near me. Chaffinch, lots of tits, crows, magpies,  doves, wagtails, starlings, seagulls, terns, Blackbird, and the odd jay.

Also lucky enough to see foxes and squirrels regularly.

Spring is here !

Very unusual to see two pairs of Robins (Erithacus rubecula) in the same area. Their "song" is their way of marking out their territory; they are fiercely territorial and will fight male robins moving into their area violently, sometimes inflicting fatal wounds! Vicious little brutes, they are. Only when the weather is so severe that they have to spend all their energy finding food and shelter will they tolerate intrusion by other adult males.

I must say, when I saw the thread title I wasn\'t sure if it was Great Tits (Parus major) or Great Tits (Norkus pendulous). Not sure if I\'m dissapointed or not :Laugh !

I was excited about the title Great Tits!!
There used to be polar bears in scotland & a few hundred years ago it was a regular occurence for the thames to freeze solid for months.
The last ice age reached london,i guess little britain will get colder in the future, theyre saying ice caps melting will bring the labrador current closer to uk & force the gulf stream away.If that happens,we die, simple as.
Dont fool yourselves the Uk is too far North to bask in Mediterranean sunshine 8 months of the year!!!
