a few weeks ago i purchased some lightweight lug nuts of ebay, i know they dont make any difference like they are claimed to, but jsut liked the colour lol

I spoke to a mate about them today and he said he had heard you cant reuse them many times, he said you can only reuse them several times and then the threads mess up on them, is this true??? :3Confused

ive had some for a while now guess the some of the wheels have been off 10 time since, only problem i had was twisting the end of one!, make sure you use a deep socket :Thumbsup!

cool sounds good, how much should you torque them aswell?? i expect if you did them up too much they would snap or damage the thread

I\'m not too sure about the lightwheel lug nuts as a friend of mine had all four snap off the rear dirver side alloy whilst doing 80+ on the motorway :eek

carn\'t remember the torque settings, not calling your mate a lier but i carn\'t see all 4 snapping off unless they got to hot? or wernt done up right in the first place, i lost a front wheel from my rs coming down a slip road, made a nice flat spot on the disc!! i had just come from a garage after having a new trye fitted they paid for it but they had forgoteen to torque them up!!!

He was lucky because his car is low enough that the wheels just about sit under his arches and also they are 10" wide so therefore quite heavy... he said he was driving and all of a sudden he heard a loud bang and the tyre came of the hub and got stuck in his wheel arch... there was LOTS of tyre screeching and smoke from the tyre... he said from his rear view mirror the motorway was full of smoke :eek... he pulled over and saw the alloy was stuck into the arch... :eek
