Urgent!!!! Speedo Converter Need Help fast!!!

Right, When i looked behind the speedo and tried to fit the converter!
it is one of these!

but it tels me to connect the converter to the yelow/red wire on pin no2 bu the thing is the 12 pin connection dont have a yelow/red wire on pin no2! The rev counter how ever dose! so im not sure if i have to connect it to the rev counter rather than the speedo!
