need advise

See the thing is that when im sitting in my car ideling the rev counter jumps about and the exhaust pops and putters! i havnt yet changed it over to run on uk fuel and it also has a bee rev limiter on it! Now dont know if it is because of this or the settings on the bee rev limiter are wrong
Can someone please let me know what yous think!

Change the sparks and leads firstly, also is the air pump connected? if not connect that up and it should smooth itself out. Once you\'ve done that get it mapped for Uk fuel.
Just some ideas for starters, also what mods etc are you running?

no mods just the bee rev limiter! Which came with the car and i dont know how to use it! Need help on how to set so my rx will run normal!
?Air pump!? this is my first and really want to look after it!

perhaps the vac line from the pressure sensor has come off? you should see a small box about the size of a match box on the right hand side of the firewall make sure the vacuum pipe is hooked up.

How do you know that is the cause of your problem? Unless it\'s been ok then you\'ve fiddled with it and now it\'s not ok?

Thats the joys of rotary ownership im afraid, many of us have to travel hundreds of miles to take our cars to a decent rotary tuner.

There\'s quite a few scottish lads on here that im sure will point you in the right direction.

Does it have a boost gauge? - If so what is that doing at idle

Do you have problems starting it when hot?

The rev counter jumping about.. do you mean the engine is hunting up and down or just the needle is flicking about randomly like an electical fault

no boost gauge but want to put one on! whats the best one for the rx7

No problems starting it hot either!

Been told that it might be a vacume problem. how do i check this!?
