Quote from: RobbieRX-7Halfords, bloody hell they\'ll charge £70 for a battery. Average price for your battery should be £30-40

ive just had a quote for a new battery £94 to replace the one i have like for like, granted its much bigger than the origional but i thought the same as you £60 tops but aparently the price of lead has gone silly in the last year or so

That\'s the other point - it went straight on. Remember the MOT includes battery \'hold down\' security as part of the test.

I was missing the brace for my battery when it came over from Japan, I tied it down with a belt as a stop gap, forgot all about it for MOT time and it passed! The guy mentioned it when i collected it, not in a negative way but on my initiative! i was well smug lol :Thumbsup!
:Laugh LOL

Yeah I\'ve got the metal bar that holds it down, but it\'s not on at the moment as the catch that fastens it down has broke - opened the bonnet one day to find it wobbling around 1cm off one of the belts! I shall sort something before MOT! :)
