FB clutches are bog standard and should last for absolute yonks. Interestingly I had to change our plate at 13000 miles because of the storage - flywheel pitting wore it out. However the 2nd clutch is fine at 49000 and I don\'t expect it to go again in my lifetime because I always double declutch down every gear, a very good habit I learned as a young man with non synchro 1st gears in cars. So depends how driven - I would say 80000 or more is easily possible.
I read once that the transmission on S2 and S3 FB\'s was beefed up because the FB was found to have a lot of power for the drivers of those days. That\'s probably why the gearbox is so much like - out of a lorry?

Rear wing electric aerial is a usual failure. It will cost about £180 from a dealer IF they are available!
They need oiling every couple of months to stop the mast sticking - then the whole thing gives up!
They are great when they\'re working though.
