When i bought my car it was sold to me as a 1995 bathurst type R2 which i was happy with but the more Ive been reading up it seems that bathurst models have a red leather interior. Now on the door sticker sure enough it all looks as it should and states Type - R2, Model - Special Edition, but my interior is different to any Ive ever seen. (Excuse the carpets)

Im more than happy with the way the car looks so iam not gonna be dissapointed if its not a bathurst model, but if its not then what type of special edition is it?

No, that\'s right. You\'ve got the Bathhurst seats (carbon effect) not the Bathhurst X. There were later Bathurst specials which were more exciting. Have a look here http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showpost.php?p=270994&postcount=53

And there\'s no excuse for those carpets

RemarkLima

My R2, also with "R2 - Special Edition" on the door sticker, has the same seats as that, carbon type... What else did the Bathurt edition have?

And those carpets look like one of the many dodgy factory options for mats, mine are a funky pinky / red colour :( And even came with rear mats, as there\'s so much traffic in the back ;)
Montego Blue 94 R2 FD3S... Bling not included.

I know they are just awful and embarrassing, on the look out for some replacements.

Why would mazda make rx7 mats in that colour is beyond me:Hammer

From what Ive read the bathurst edition came with mazda adjustable suspension, which Im glad to say mine has and has not long since been refurbished

The special edition is just a heading.  Yours is exactly the same interior as my type r2.

wasn\'t the Bathurst the only one that originally came in white as well?

I might be making that up though
