hi all.
just wanted some advice on what oil i should use. weather it be fully syn or just a good mineral oil? please forgive me as i have not owned a RX7 before... cheers

I run mine on Royal Purple 10-30w, fully syn, and can\'t say a bad word about it. Gary at Rotaryart sells it.

Welcome to MRC. This is probably the most emotive and possibly the most covered subject about the rotary engine Mazda recommends mineral oil only but there are a lot of guys using  full or semi synthetics without issues. You really need to have a read up then make up your own mind depending on mods and importantly if the engine has a warranty what the engine builder recommends. Personally i use total quarts 9000 5-30w Synthetic (which is a cracked mineral oil) and milers KB2T premix oil (a synthetic/ castor blend) But this is just my choice for the mods i run it is in no way a recommendation and as i say you really need to do a search read some of the many threads out there then make up your own mind. If as it seems its a new car to you do yourself a favor and change the coolant while your on and give it some fresh ethylene glycol based antifreeze (the green or blue stuff not pink!) as a lot of people don\'t realize antifreeze has a 2 yrs shelf life and can become corrosive after this length of time in the engine.
