Right, as some of you know, Bally has had a few dramas with his clutch set up.... basicaly I\'m asking this question to see if the counter weight behind the flywheel needs to stay or be removed to run a std flywheel??

He has got an exedy hyper single with a smaller light flywheel (this is being removed so he can run a std flywheel, as his new clutch kit is for a std flywheel not the exedy lightend one!!), behind this there is a counter balance weight, but the mechanic doing the job thinks this is to be taken off for use with a std flywheel.... is he correct ???

HEEEELLLLLP!!!!!

Cheers guys

yes,  the stock flywheel has the counter weight built in.
the counterweight should be bolted to the lightweight f/w,  thats whats actually attached to the e shaft.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

aha I see, according to the mechanic the counter weigh is aparantly stuck on the e shaft & not bolted to the flywheel!!

he must have unbolted the flywheel from the counter weight. The counter weight is held on the eshaft by the 54mm nut and can be apig to get off.
