i have a trust system with 2 sliencers no cat and an hks downpipe with twins and it is loud. its been my everyday driver for the past year as well...... i love the noise it makes and flames that come out the back but it has got a bit much and asides from the fact it blew at the start of the year ive bought myself another car now (cant justify the fuel economy either lol).

was comuting over to Belgium in it a fair amount and after a 5 hour trip your hearing did start to go.
before i had this system though i had a nur-spec with the same set up and it was even louder.
havent tracked it yet but i live near goodwood and the sound restrictions are really tight there and its hard to find something that gives you a balance with the noise and performance......
i have a silencer for it as well that goes in the back box but too much hassel getting out and fitting it and it gets kind of boring as well with the lack of power on the motorways :-)

Quote from: kbarehamI used mine for a while with twins and an unsilenced mid pipe. It really got too much after 30 minutes or so on the motorway, so I changed it for a silenced one when I did the single conversion.

yeah, i\'m with this guy. You think its cool at first but once you\'ve been driving for a while it gets very tiresome. I changed my [barely] silenced mid-pipe for another one with a larger silencer and have it down to 96.5 static now but i wish it was quieter still.

I won\'t be going to the \'ring this year as originally planned because of this.

You can forget Bedford as well.

I voted silenced, I am getting very long in the tooth with intrusive cabin noise. I have a feed straight through midpipe that I am looking to change for a silenced one soon and I would be very interested to know how much trade off in torque and power there is.

my N/A 13b has had the baffles removed, had a decat and still has the stock silencer. My mate can hear me a mile or 2 up the road when im coming towards him.

im guessing your set up will be even louder so i would definitely go down the silenced route. Ive got to the point where i don\'t like caning it down roads because ill attract attention

Fitted one of our silenced mid pipes to a car a couple of weeks ago...and it is absolutely gorgeous sound.  Should be well down at 95db  So no problems getting on any tracks :)

gyles18

do you have any videos of your system on a car running?

AtomicRex

No sorry no videos as yet.

TonyC is running our standard system, and our Yellow car is running the Centre Race Rear...twin 5" pipes!! A tad over kill....but looks the part :)

Anyway you will be able to hear them at Rotorstock all being well

Grizzly

The question is Twin turbo or single......

On Twins you can get away with none silenced Mid pipe as there not that loud, if you have a single then defo Silenced as they can get a bit OTT

gyles18

ahh shame. im contemplating getting rid of my sports cat and back box to free up some more power on the car. 356@ the fly is pretty lame for a gt35 t4....
im after something thats pretty sedate when cruising but sounds a bit menacing when you floor it :evillaugh

AtomicRex

I sold a midpipe and back box to Nathan Reed and it did exactly that!

Doesnt have that horrid drone when sat on the motorway....will get you onto any track day, is repackable...but sounds like the devil has just unleased hell when you floor it ;)

mmmm, maybe a bigger hot side and more boost........ :) Waste gate un plumbed.......;)

LOL Depends on what mods your running with it, Gt35\'s are renound for getting choked with small Turbine housings.

i bought it because i wanted something that drove similar to twins and still gave me a fair bit of grunt.i was after around the 400whp and told this would be perfectly adequate (i know nothing about turbo\'s). its a nice drive, spools up nice and early and is a very very smooth just like the twins use to.
the setup i have now is nice and noise wise its perfect. i could drive the car for hours and not be over whelmed but id like to get some more power out of the car.
its currently running .77 bar
here is the setup....

Sounds like you have a nice set up there, looks like you just need to get a Profect B2 then run 1 bar you will be happy, that way you can turn it off and go back to your .7, 356 at .7 is not bad at all, as i say BOOST!!!!

lee mills

yep as Grizzly said more boost needed 1  bar should see 400 fwhp.
