What to put in my hole. (stereo wise)

There is a big hole in my dash in need of a stereo. I was considering a car computer but having priced it up realise I would be looking at £300+, that and a few technical issues have put me off.

I then bought a cheap double din touchscreen jobbie from ebay but the unit was too deep and stuck out so far gear changes was an issue...

Any recommendations here?
Does anyone have experience with this thing?

Any reason you don\'t want to go single din + blanking plate?

I mean, if you\'ve got time to watch TV while driving an RX-7, you\'re either better than Lewis Hamilton or you may as well buy a Toyota Century...

i have a storage box if you want to buy any uk single din stereo.

it has a push button lid and can be used to store away gauges.

hope this helps.

I bought a Sony DAB for the 1st gen and the sound quality on the radio is amazing, puts my analogue alpine radio to shame (need to find an alpine DAB tuner )

The blanking plates I saw were £30. :eek

The double din unit in the picture I bought for £95 delivered. Which would have been awesome, it was just too deep.

To be honest if I cant have my carputer I just want a cheap fill. Long as it plays CDs and UK radio. :o

m4drx assuming no super value double dins jump out at me how much would you want for your box?
