Just bought Some blue LED bulbs for my FD. One problem... How on earth do you remove the dash to get to the bulbs? Any help would be marvellous!

I\'ve done a couple of searches on here, but just found things telling me to remove the entire front of the car. Surely that\'s not necessary?

Cheers,
B

i was just about to post this exact question! i know you have to take off the steering shroud, the side vent, and the bezal section, but i cant get it very far off (even after taking the steering wheel off!). how do you take off the controls, as they seem to be the only thing left in the way..

i had a problem when i did my indiglow - but you wil figure it out - think there are two screws at the top and a few at the bottem - sorry not much help but basicly its not that hard once you get going - i managed to have mine removed and fitted in just over an hour

think the screw near the bottem vent is the tricky one but once that is out and all the rest pull the whole thing towards you and up then instument comes off easy enough

hoep that helps ..a bit

I think there are couple of bolts where you can drop the whole steering column to make things easier.

How recommended it is to do this, I don\'t know

done this loads of times which is fairly easy-
remove side vent-screw behind there
remove steering cowling 3 screws underneath and pops apart into two
remove lower trim around bonnet release/vent-two screws
remove i think two screws under trim
remove screw located just below cigarette lighter
you should now be able to pull off instrument panel complete-bit stiff but give it a:wiggle and should come up
remove all connectors on the back-some people may have two wires connected for speedo conversion which need to be removed taking note which one goes where.
remove complete panel, bit fiddly getting it out but it will go.
jobs a good un
hope this helps dont think i have missed any screws on it lol:Thumbsup!

Excellent, thanks very much mate! :D

If there are some bolts that\'ll let the steering column drop, then it would make life easier, as i have done this job before many times too, and it is fiddly to get it past the steering column bits \'n\' pieces.
