yeah, i get a bit of attention - keep looking at me.. loads of people think i am speeding when still in first gear and only just moving off! so loud! its great! although it took me quite a while to get used to it...

Have you got the bung in yet? Even with the bung I used to set off car alarm every day when I drove into work...every day, the same fiesta, and every evening the same fiesta again, just from starting the engine.

P.S. When you get bored with it, go back to your Racing Beat or get an SMB backbox as my dyno\'s were identical with the Nur Spec and the SMB...but the flames you get with the Nur Spec :flamed OMG...you don\'t even have to try! :Thumbsup!

Hmm, doesn\'t it depend on how much the flow changes and how closely it has been mapped? I swapped my massive (loud) backbox for a 5Zigen (much quieter) so I could pass track noise limits.

I got Pip to fit a FEED downpipe and remap while I was there, and he said the big backbox had better flow and showed me how to increase the fuelling from 5k RPM upwards using the PFC Commander if I swapped it back, to avoid running lean (I think that was being safe though, rather than an absolute must!)

If his reputation for conservative mapping is true, then if Pip mapped it, they\'ll be plenty of fuel hanging around to make good flames...provided there\'s not a cat in the way.
 
IIRC you will get flames when you de-cat a stock car regardless of the backbox, but the Blitz really has nothing in the way to stop them so the flames are huge!

i had a nur spec on my last fd, used to rattle the ornaments off the conservatory shelf from the street, great fun! one day i was coming back from reworx and stuck my foot down on the motorway and saw big flamage in the rear mirror, when i got home the bung was missing!! oops. I think its in orbit somewhere now...
