Here\'s a question for all you guys with Re-Amemiya AD hood 9 and Strut bars installed.

My cusco one is quite high and fouls on the bonnet.

What do you guys have?

I was thinking of Tein one. Only cause it s green but I think I may have the same issue.

Anyone got and info? I may just have to do some cutting of the drip trays....

When I had the AD 9 hood on the car with the cusco brace, it rubbed but nothing too badly.

I wound a cable tidy spiral thing around the bar and all was good.

I have the standard strut brace and the rain trays do not rub against it.

There is no way mine will close with the rain trays in. Its a big no go.

It comes kind of stright up. The standard one is a bit forward.

Any suggestions?

Maybe a standard brace is the go. Yahoo auction should be cheap.

Also.
What do you guys thing of mounting a bonnet pin lever in the front vent.
Hiding the bonnet pins altogether. with a tube setup? any ideas? i kind of dont want to break up the lines out side.

Do you think I could find a kind of latch in a hardware store or something?

I\'d look for an aftermarket that was not as raised as the Cusco one.  The standard can be the fall back item if the search fails.

Neat idea about hiding the bonnet pins.  Would the bonnet be strong enough to support the pulling action needed?  Would the bonnet be secured in the right places to stop the edges raising?

I think the 3 point Okuyama one. Tri point Trinagle one (Re-Amemiya rebranded it)
It seems thin and forward in Design. But also bolts to the firewall.
And it includes a master cylinder stopper for the brake master to rest against as a bonus.
It\'s pretty cheap here. So there may not be any alternative.

Must fit Amemiya. I\'ll check first though.

Just ideas for the bonnet. I\'ll probably install the simplest idea, but it would be nice. I think it would work, I mean the top isnt going to rip off the bonnet, is it? but not having the right tools will probably stop the dream.

Standard strut brace for me, no problems :) (Afraid im no help)

I have the same problem with my Cusco bar and FEED bonnet. I have spoken to the supplier and they reckon a stock unit will go, or alternatively an ARC one. I have searched around for ARC, but can only find their titanium brace for the SE3P, not the FD.
