Hi,
does anyone know what thres it is on the fuel pressure regulator when the pressure gauge goes please.
also has anyone had any problems with these as i cant seem to adjust it over 40 psi it just stops there and even when i wind it in to maximum pressure it doesnt make a diference as the engine should flood but it doesnt as the pressure is still just 40.
does it have to be that dial for it to work as i am using a standard one on it like u get with the fse pressure regulators.
thanks

If you want my advice (some one who has just blown his car with fuel related problems)

Don\'t take any Chances, if you think your Fuel reg is bad or not working properly buy a new one, Also get one that has a good rep, Aeromotive,SX or somthing like that, trust me £100 is better than 4k.

Grizzly:
I don\'t know where you got the info that SARD doesn\'t have a good rep?
They are one of Japan\'s biggest suppliers of Injectors and fuel related products, and race in the SuperGT as for one.
And the sard ones are £150 :P

What does it say in the manual. I have an RJ one sitting at home but I havn\'t even opened it yet. Ill try to see what I can find out once I get home from work. Wich one do you have, and what is it rated for?

Regards, Daniel

Sorry did i miss some thing? Did i say that SARD regs have a bad rep? i just said buy one with a good rep.

But the fact remains the sard reg may well be faulty or the wrong type so if it was me i\'d be looking for a tried and tested one that i could get from a UK supplyer that wasn\'t an E-bay pile of Junk that will kill my motor. Don\'t you agree?

BTW be carefull you get the correct one, there are Regs for Carb\'d N/A cars that run at lower Pressure etc.

Sard are good though....it\'s fair to say their rep is right up there.

wow dont Know if you got this sorted. The fuel pump is given a lower voltage in certain conditions like tickover this may be causing your probs, just a thought.

i did get it from a uk supplier.  i have a sard fuel pump also. maybe its the dial as i have a non sard dial fitted in it. one from an fse one, hard fitting it in so it could be that.

You shouldn\'t be getting any problems with the Sard Fuel Pressure Regulator.  I\'ve got a Type-RJ and the pressure rises above 40 psi when driving without issue.

Is it the Type-RJ that you are using?  Sard do a smaller version that isn\'t meant for turbo cars.

Is it the base fuel pressure you\'re trying to set above 40psi or is this when you\'re driving?  It\'s rising rate if it\'s the Type-RJ.  My base pressure is set about 35psi and I see over 60psi on boost.

Looks like the smaller one.

When I got mine my supplier recommended that you always use the Type-RJ on the RX-7.  A friend of mine also bought the smaller version for his car and he got trouble with it not rising correctly, he had to replace it in the end.
