As above, just supposing my new car was an import, and just supposing that it still had the emergency flare hidden under the glovebox - is sucha thing not illegal in the UK? :Hammer :Hammer

Not sure, but mine added to the fun on bonfire night!

see a few floating around on ebay occasionally. But they are supposed to be removed upon arrival to the UK.

It is not illegal to have a hand flare in your possesion, but if questioned by the boyz in blue why you have one I expect they would like a valid reason. The flares usually disappear during transit so you would be lucky to get one still in the car.

The company I work for buy and sell flares, smokes and para rockets. They hold the distribution rights for all Hanson pyro products in the UK. Having been on an ADR course myself, I would not advice using any out of date pyro products at all. Believe me I have seen the damage they can do to people just in pictures alone. Not very nice sights. If you get one be very careful if you let it off......cheers Leigh.

lol i used to have a few, theres somthing in your head that makes the assumption that a flare is gonna be the most bestist thing since your bought fireworks at 16... and its far from it, a birthday cake has more excitment, there like a red candle/lit fag.....
if i was designing the jap emergency flare id make it a wepon of mass destruction lol
