Hi, I am currently looking to upgrade my current single turbo setup. It will have a decent street port, large fmic + alloy rad.

My current turbo is a budget xspower T70 turbo, which has been ok so far. It made 321rwhp however  lag was an issue for such little power. 3rd gear full boost was about 4000/4500 rpm. see link below

I want to spend £500/600 on a new turbo. I am looking at the usual suspects; t04s / t04r / gt35* The car is going to be used for street use mainly with the odd blat up the strip at santa pod.

Also i could do with the new turbo bolting in the same position in terms of manifold and downpipe.

In reality what are the differences in spool times between these turbos, considering the money difference. Also if you have any other recommendations let me know.

cheers!  :cheers

i believe xs power turbo`s are not the best. think my old rex had one and didn`t last too many miles on only 0.9 bar boost. kev took it off as soon as he took rex away
if i had 8 hour to cut down a tree. i`d spend 6 sharpening the axe

HH, How does one contact you if need to?

Had alot at the link there. Is this turbo on a T3  flange? if so you may need an adaptor to fit some of the turbos if your looking at T04R or bigger as there are on T4 flange. Just something to consider.

Would that be Blitz\'s one? very nice indeed

I think the t04z is probably going to be overkill, which one is it?

Im try to decide a turbo so the my plates can ported to suit.

Will an adapter lift my turbo higher?

Trex hairyhoover at hotmail dot com is probably the best way

have a look at some of the Turbonetics turbo in the states - they do some good turbos @ around your budget things like the T66 good for 600bhp for £650 delivered. but smaller ones would be cheaper and they are also on T3 setup so you can just bolt it right up. STAY AWAY from TURBONETICS UK they will rob you of your dignity lol. just look in states! Jesse@ turbo kits can get them too.

its the Garret TO4z very good mid range turbo i have for sale, its rated between t78 and t88, its ball bearing so spools up nice and quick ideal for fast road and circuit work, Spoke to Era has your plates and can port them to suit the turbo

also spools a lot quicker then ur current turbo due to its dual ball bearing design, also its basically a T04R spec with the dual ball bearing centre

hello just another quick question, will a t4 footprint flow more than t3 footprint?
