Insurance Quotes

Hey all, thought I\'d share some insurance quotes with you all...

Insured as described in...http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42060

Daily driver, agreed value of £6k, like-for-like replacement on mods, 10k a year, fully comp with legal fees, £500 excess, parked on the street just outside Edinburgh.

I\'m 23, with 5yrs NCB insured with Sky for £1076.

Others:

Adrian Flux (Highway as underwriters) = £1139
Swinton = £1700
Warwick-Davis = £1181
Hyperformance = £1161
A-Plan = :Nono! \'cos I\'m under 30
Bell Direct = :Nono! \'cos there is an aftermarket dump valve?

Most of the places I phoned - most from the list at the top of this sub-forum and others from the back of Top Gear / Banzai etc,  couldn\'t insure me as the 92-95 model comes up as the 2354cc or the \'93 Type-R comes uo as an auto??

Thought I\'d share my renewal quote:
 
A-Plan insurance with Ensign (Insurer)
 
92 RX-7 all mods declared, business use - not limited mileage, fully comp, 6yrs NCB (protected - 2 claims every 2 yrs), excess £350, age 31, IT Consultant
 
Premium £643
 
I then declared my v-mount, Twin Power, and fuel pressure regulator and the quote didn\'t change.
 
Adrian Flux couldn\'t do jap import cars on business use at all!
 
Needless to say, I recommend A-Plan - although I haven\'t had to claim - Thatcham office on 0845 071 1234
