Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone has an answer for this one...

My Clifford alarm has stopped making any sounds.  The proximety alert wont sound, no bleep comes when I close or open the door and the siren wont sound.

Every once in a blue moon it will sound for a while and then revert to the before.

I think the problem stems from when I had a bad earth and the last battery used to flatten all the time and require jump starting.  I took it to the specialist who fitted it.  They left the car outside all day then pressed the fob and everything worked.  Stopped again a while later tho!

Can I reset the alarm no the battery is sorted?

Got a similar problem with my 650. The blackjaxx has stoped working. how much does it cost for a serivce then?

Ta for the quick reply bud :)

Without checking im 99% sure it is the 650.  What would a service do (replace back up battery etc?)

ive never had a problem with mine, heard the stories about the weather affecting them but hey, i heard the horrer stories about the fd and aint had a problem with that either..touch wood!

Yeah they can be a bit temperamental. Mine has gone off twice when it\'s rained, probably due to the bonnet thing shorting with the water, and once the other day it started playing through all the different noises it can make but without flashing the hazards and I couldn\'t disarm it. Had to put it into valet mode to stop it. Never done that before!

bloody good alarms though

jamie_supra

rip the bl**dy thing off. Im sick to death of mine with its stupid anti jacking system. 3 times i have broken down and its due to the stupid alarm.

the thing you were saying is normal i think.... mine does it all the time - goes quiet then loud and i have to use different ways of starting the car up as the alarm changes its mind.

Ed_RX7

i rest my case!

good alarms but shoddy fitting i think is easily the killer mine took 12-14ish hours to fit or probably more - Clifford Concept G5 950 intelliguard - £1165 !!!

pi55ed about for ages but after rewiring important bits myself it works better. i think the siren issue is due to engine bay heat more than anything so bare this in mind and if need be just replace the siren. no point paying for an alarm if it dont go off at the end of the day.

very intereste din peoples experiences and fixes though.

Talking about these again...mine\'s gone off randomly 3 times in the past week now so I think it\'s off to get it sorted out now!
