Bodykit or Special Edition?

Hi all,  long time no speak.
This probably sounds like a daft question, but I can\'t find an answer for searching.
Basically I\'m pretty much ready to order my 1st 3rd Gen and would ideally like one that is kitted out in full Mazdaspeed A-spec (type II?) gear.
Now, is the Mazdaspeed A-spec stuff simply an aftermarket bodykit and alloys, or did this car get produced from the factory with added extras?:confused:
When I was at Brooklands last year there was a mint black one there that looked totally awesome imo.

Also can I get an idea of how much I\'m likely to have to pay for a minter (in the above kit), with low miles (30kish), aftermarket exhaust, intake, FMIC and Apexi FC?

Probably a lot more than I can afford!!!:D

The Mazdaspeed A-Spec kit was a mazdaspeed item and like all their stuff, limited in quantity and pricy, so the chances of finding any pieces off a car are very limited.  You can probably get after market copies is you really wanted that look.

Seen about 5 or 6 aspec in the last month in Japan then at other times you don\'t see any for a month  ?

Was it an aftermarket kit then? ie fitted to any spec. by the owner or just to the RZ at the factory?

Any chance you can give me an idea of the price I\'d be looking at for the spec. I\'ve mentioned and the chances of finding it?

Hi Mate,

Yep the rz is an aftermarket kit. Mazda might have sold some like it from the factory as purchasers request, as Mazda currently do with the rx8. But more than likely it was purchased as an aftermarket item by last owner.
Price depends more on the model type the year, condition & mileage more than the bodykit that\'s fitted.
So could find you one for possibly as cheap as 8.5k ish
for say a 92 car with the desired spec or more on a younger car  and depending on model type ??

Thanks for the comments, I\'ve decided to order from Brian and what you\'ve said boosts my confidence no end.
I\'ve seen a couple of RX\'s for sale at various places local to me and the cars were all a bit ropey to say the least.

one thing ive noticed from going everywhere looking at rx7 at various garages is that most of them don`t know anything about these cars.they just buy them because it looks good!!   i`ve done a fair amount of reseach about these cars. so that ive got a bit of a clue at what i was  looking at.

and some of the bull sh*t. they have said is quite impressive.
"these engines are really quick for a 2.6 liter"
"they last as long as a normal engine"
"we don`t have the auction sheet"
"there good on fuel!!!!!   "
can`t remember any others at moment but you get the picture.

brian (rotary imports) was straight down the line. e-mailed me auction sheet. and gave me confidence in buying an rx..... because to be honest i was close to knocking the idea on the head and getting a sky bus!!!
