Injectors........

I was down at Pips today for a mapping session, first time down and wotta place.

I am running a Fmic, T304s, SARD FPR and Uprated Fuel pump and the car was mapped to 268rwhp. He has made such a difference to the car on the mid range etc that I am pretty happy with the safe level of boost at 0.7 bar.

I now have an option on the injectors side of things, I am looking for some feed back on your set ups etc................??

Not sure weather to go for 550cc Primary and 1680 secondry or go for the 850cc primary route.

Any feedback on what you have done and how it has worked out would be superb..........

i was told that to get the 850s mapped to idle properly was quite difficult and therefore went the 550cc/ 1600cc route, also its all you should need for future mods.

i dont know if the driveability is affected with 850 prims, someone should be tell you.

my 2ps worth.

I was a wee bittie worried during the map right enough, my first time seeing it getting done combined with a missfire due to dodgy plug at 6000rpm made it exciting.........lol.

How do you find yours on fuel economy and town driving mate, one concern I have is the 850cc being a pain on tickover etc.........

hey, yeah all is well....

both cars are off the road tho\', rover needs a clutch an the rex has a new master cylinder to ready go on. Oh the joys of car ownership.


Driveabilty shouldnt be affected with 550s/ 1600s combination as the 1600s come on line after the 550s hit a certain duty. town driving and mpg around town shouldn\'t be affected.

its when you put your foot down, thats when the mpg suffers.:Laugh :Laugh

I was pretty scared man, the misfire sounds like detonation i\'m sure.........lol.

Pip reckons I could see late 300rwhp with the injectors added mate, he set it up to be safe on the 550cc injectors man so its boosting to 0.7bar. Big difference in the power delivery now mate alot smoother than before. Deffo not sure on injectors yet as I don\'t want summit thats a pain to use, but Nige says should\'nt notice a difference in the driving........lol.

Lol, I know a Silver Scobby that will take a nibble.......quick fecker at that man.

I think the route Nige suggested and uses sould be ok, the std injectors with secondry 1600s........

Pip said they are a bugger to map on tick over with bigger primaries, kinda sounds as if my minds made up.....lol.
