Hiya,

I`ve got a pretty much standard 1994 Type R2, So far its got an Apexi PFC, Greddy Profec B Spec II Boost Controller, De-cat and 3.5" Exhaust System. Thats it for the engine, so very standard.

She got a compression test about 4 months ago at WGT, as well as the power FC mapped and the boost controller set-up, it was high 7`s all round. Is it likely that the compression will have dropper dramatically over the past few months or am I going to be "ok" for a fair bit yet with those results?. On the Dyno the car produced 281.5bhp at 0.9 bar of boost.

Basically i`m thinking of trying to get a bit more power, i`d like to get above the 300bhp barrier and i`m wondering what i`d need to do next? Pip said the fuelling system was hitting its limits so obviously I would have to upgrade that. What else should I think about upgrading at the same time? Maybe an uprated intercooler and radiator?

I cant afford to go single i`m afraid, so really just looking to see how far I can go safely on the twins, and also what sort of costs i`ll be looking at?

Thanks for any advice and help,

Trev

High 7\'s is a good healthy engine mate..... think they are only just in to the 8\'s on a fresh build, so you should be good for a few years yet!!! it\'s when you get in to the low 6\'s you need a rebuild!!

I would say it sounds like you have a nicely setup car there, just enjoy it as it is, those extra 20+ bhp could turn out to be very expensive!

I would definitely consider uprating the cooling (i.e. intercooler, bigger rad maybe) before doing anything performance wise.

An I would stick with the twins anyway, unless your after 400bhp+ - the reduced turbo lag with the twins is what its all about :D

Cool, thanks for the advice guys.

So basically it isnt really cost effective to go searching for an extra 20+bhp?

I think I may just take the advice and leave her as she is, probs go on holiday or something instead haha.

Cheers
