RX7 compared to EvoVI

i have owned an impreza wrx,evo2 and evo 6 and 2 rx7s my fd i own right now would **** the evos and scoob into next week and all it runs is hks fillters,full exhaust,fully rebuilt turbos with upraited internals.Pluss i have raced an evo8 (on a straight right enough)and tore him a new ashole like one guy said there must be some poor set up fd,s out there

well a while back when my car was running around standard power maybe a little more i had a go with a 300 bhp old shape impreza on a dry long straight road, i was behind him and we both booted it at about 20mph and up until about 60-70 i found it hard to stay with him and then after that he just ran out of puff, once i got into the magical third gear i was right up his backside, i reckon i could have taken him aswell but was a busy road.

Whenever he sees me now coming up behind him he quickly turns of hehe

my mate just sold his evo 5 for a evo 7 and i have yeat to be betin on a straight by him(both evos where running 1.2 bar, cat back and filter) (my mods full exhaust ecu filters and thats realy it)for me the evo is just no fun. its to easy to drive and you feel so high driving it. they do have good grip in the wet but on a dry day the fd will always handel better.

As brilliant as the Evo is, just looking at the two next to each other and there is no debate. The RX7 is just the business!

naturally i preach from the rx7 bible but my mates evo leaves me for dust, im mean right through the board launching, accelaration, top end the lot, fair do\'s hes spent the pennys to get it to that stage, the only aspect i beat him with is that i get cheep tax lol

filters, decat r magic zorst and ecu lol but still i doubt my little rx7 would compete with 700bhp

oh yeah i know that, the evos are pretty strangled in standard form, altho most cars are these days to meet eu laws n regs

i dunno i have enough trouble trying to get the power down in with 255/40/17\'s on mine never mind with 700bhp id be expecting 365/40/17\'s with sandbags in the boot lol
