How much will it cost to get somewhere to replace water seals, o rings and gasket on a block?

One that is obviously already out of a car. Should be cheaper no?

o ring kit for the rex is about 150 bud..

Once you open it up, you\'ll need new water seals anyway, and there\'s no point in replacing a quarter of the seals so you might aswell strip the whole thing. The main pars that wear out are rotor housings and apex seals. If in good shape, these can also be reused. Most other parts can prob be reused depending on mileage, mazda tolerances and your budget. Obviously all O rings and gaskets cannot be reused.  If it is a genuine 30k motor it should have a good 30-40k left depending on how it\'s been treated and how you treat it. It\'s those water seals that most people have trouble with!

Exactly I never understand why people try and save a few pennies here and there when the engine is apart, for the sake of a few hundred quid you can have complete piece of mind.
