As long as the Bumper has been painted before i don\'t think you\'ll have a Problem, You only realy have to worrie if the Bumper is Fresh (ie. no Primer or paint on), i\'d  make sure its well keyed.

Plastics only realy cause problems when people use there Bumpers too stop against Garage walls etc.

The \'new\' bumper does show signs of paint cracking - like you get on porcelain paints, but interestingly not on an impact area.  I am going to rub them bit\'s down before priming.

Good point about the follow on paint job - the bloke that will be doing it for me is pretty good - he\'ll do a good and thorough job :cool

You would be best flatting the Dodgy paint off Completly and give it a coat of a good addition Promoter.

Is the Paint Flakey or just Cracked? If the paint Flakes off then thats Poor Addition (it happens alot on Plastic Bumpers, More so on the Early ones that are made from Wacky Plastics) if its Just Cracks (look more like spider webs or scratches) thats Brital Paint and you should add a Flex adative.

Have you thought about painting the Bits Properly with 2k? If you are struggling i could sort you some out if you wish and send it you? Just a Shame you don\'t live a Bit closer i could have given you a hand.

Probably best if I post pics, but I must stress this is only a stop gap before a full respray
