Insurance for 21yr old!

Hi, I know theres loads of threads...but be very gratefull if anyone of the age of 21 or less could let me know how they got on for price and who with?
 
Tried elephant....£3000! :2eek
Admiral.............£1700 better
I\'ve heard an 19yr old with one years no claim got it for £1500!!
Worst thing is ive got 3yrs no claims on my golf...
but I need a new policy :Grrr so starting with no no claims

Get a quote on a UK FD RX7. It will be a lot cheaper than a Import. I insured mine when I was 21 just about to 22 with 0 NCB and that was £1000 fully comp. A year on its now £800 to insure. Both years have been with Admiral. Also make shore if your looking for insurance on a Uk spec car the engine size is 2616cc. If it lower it will be for a FC not an FD

thanks....but theres not many UK FDs around..and they\'re generally a fair bit more money.......plus my heart is set on certain import....
Sky are on the case at the mo.....waiting for them to get bk to me

1250 is a good quote for the age and the NCB id try noel deazly as well the guys at sky were very surpised when i told them what they quoted me! (infact they said go with it as its probebly going to be one of your batter quotes) if it sany help they did me through ensign.:wiggle

But the main this is what Rx7 are you trying to insure? as i was recently with Admiral/Elephant and had to move as they huffed my insurance up, (they dont insure imports apparently):Nono!

make sure you are trying to insure a  2616 twin turbo rx7... not the turbo coupe 2354 .... id be surprised ifyou can get less than 1500! i struggled even without my london postcode!

Thats impossible...iv worked in insurance for the last 4 years and im telling you its impossible to get it that low...unless you live 100 miles from civilisation...!!!

I have 3 years NCB and pay double so at 21 with 0 NCB is impossible unless they have the car wrong...i pay more than that for a 1.9tdi Bora for petes sake!

I tried Noel Dazely....said they would be about the same as the 1700 quote from Admiral.
I think I\'m going to see if SKY will squeeze a little more...then I think that will be fair enough.
Its a 1993 FDS that I\'m getting quotes for.

Just did it online now & my quote with Admiral has just come in at £4149.33 at 22 with 3YNCB!!! So god knows how yours is coming in £1700!!!!!!!!!

even then, i can get a pirce for a 2354 turbo coupe 1995 if i wanted to. that car doesnt even exist!!!

Well it\'s not really impossible, as thats how much it is.

The car is insured as a UK spec, 2616cc, manual kept in a garage with 5000 miles fully comp.

It is insured 100% correctly and your right it is a really good price.

you cannot insure a car as a UK car if it is an import ?

a car is classed as a UK model if it was imported by a mazda dealer from new and sold as a new car here.

My car is a official Mazda imported UK model registered in 1995, maybe spec was the wrong word to use

i cant believe what im reading!! im 20 and am insured on the rx7 third party.not even fire and theft,and im paying 3200!! where are you finding these quotes from??!! im getting reinsured when im 21 with 1 years no claims so hoping for something better,i know how you feel rixio!!

OK I just did another quote for a UK model and it came out at £3877.86!! WTF AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE?!?!?!?!

Like i said iv been in the insurance industry for 4 years and i tell you its IMPOSSIBLE! Also iv just to let you know i only renewed this week and its cost me £2200 & Iv had FD\'s from 18 so i know what im talking about...
