6500 Rpm in 4th ?

Was out for a blast in the car today and when I hit 6500rpm in 4th gear I get a sudden kick back/flat spot ,not really sure what it is.Its like hitting fuel cut or a limiter....I can go further up the revs in 3rd and dont get the same thing happening ?
Any ideas lads ?

um could be the injectors maxing out...but I would expect that to happen in every gear...

Ive had it passed 180kmh before,althought it does feel like a limiter.

Doubt you\'ve passed 180kmh if a limiter just kicked in.. unless your mph/kph converter got a lose connection?! do you get weird speed ratings sometimes in miles sometimes in kilometers?

sounds about the RPM for a boost cut. Bad if so.

What mods and ecu do you have?

I had a similar experience. Turned out to be fueling problem. Relay was not switching from 9v at idle to 12v on the move. Same thing, first 3 gears no probs, fourth and then problem. Happened twice and I went straight to Pips for analysis and fix, don\'t want lack of fuel!

Sorry to Hijack but wouldn\'t you be well over 112MPH at 6500 in fourth... I mean wouldn\'t the Limiter cut in earlier than 6500?

any idea how this was tested? mine hits the fuel cut now n then but its really random when it decides to do it, it makes no diffrence if its a hot or cold day or if i use shell petrol or bp its totally random, i even took the cat back system off so it was totally standard and it still did it now and then???

Do I just replace the relay to fix it ?
