voltage problem!

yo dudes!!

i have fitted loadsa stuff to my car recently (seen here http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37909)

when i finally come round to start the car i have noticed a voltage difference, before i did all this it was 14.4v on the voltmeter but now it shows 13v?

could this be because the pulley kit includes a larger diameter pulley thus makin the alternator spin slower???

i would not worry about it much it is just the fact that when i turn my headlights on or turn on the fan mod the engine cuts out

any ideas or insight would be ace

Alternator speed shouldn\'t cause these symptoms; after all the built in regulator has to deal with idle speed up to full speed. Checks-
Try a battery change (Shorted cell?)
Look for high resistance connections in the long run to your boot.
Check the main earths for high resistance.
I can imagine the battery relocate to the boot might affect starting but I\'d have guessed the cable run would support normal accessory usage once running.
Is the ECU voltage dependant I wonder?
