I removed my plenum today, not as soathing as some suggested......lol.

I noticed that the pipe on the piccies was not block off before I started and was not connected to owt either..........???????????

What is this exactly, and can it be left off as it was not connected when I started..........?????????????

Any help would be great.........................................

Joeh

That pipe looks custom made... haven\'t seen it before on mine...

Maybe its from somewhere else and got lose when you pulled the plenum out?

It was bolted to the block mate, was defo there before I started.....................

I car is a single tub, wondering if its summit to do with that......?????????

Oh right I see what you mean now, I just looked at the first and last picture and saw it was there in the first and removed in the last (just incase anybody else hasn\'t noticed that yet)....

I\'ll go check my car, its a twin turbo, just checking as its a large pipe so its not nesting so it should be the same in both our cars :)

Joeh

I haven\'t gone to look yet but doesn\'t the air control valve go there?

That pipe hooks up to the ACV (Air controle Valve) it\'s normaly fed by the air pump, but being as you are single you may as well pull the ACV out all together..... I\'ve just done this on my twin turbo!! aparanly if your running a power FC you can just unplug it and you dont get any probs!! I hope so anyway!!! Obviously if you pull it off yoou will need to block off the resulting hole!!!

Cheers Jono,

Will have any issues with the mapping set up if I block the holes....????

It was unblocked before...............

From what I understand it is a flame retarder..... basicaly when you are accelerating it diverts the air from the air pump to the cat & when you shut off the throttle it puts air in to the inlet ports to lean off the mixture.

Have a search for ACV removal and see what comes up!!
