Right then, I\'m on to the last few jobs now..... YAY!!!

I\'ve bought a second hand Greddy Profec B but I don\'t have a clue where any of the wires go or the pipes!!!!

There is a pipe that goes in to the controler itself ...... Where does this conect in the engine bay??

& on the solonoid box there are 2 other pipes...... ones got in on it & the other one has out on it..... Where do these go???

cheers for the help guys.

the profec unit(in car)requires live and earth red and black wire prob fused but dont know the wires are thin..the green wires/conector runs from profec unit to the solenoid valve
the valve has 3 ports and depends whether running ext wastegate or twins etc
for single set up one port goest to manifold pressure source and other to external wastegate and midle one remains unused..this is all from memory

It\'s going on to a stock twin set up!!

From what I have seen on a site, the unit in the car has a pipe in to the plenum. then the solonoid pack has a feed from the boost pipe & the other to the waist gate...... does this sound correct??

profec unit inside car has the live switched feed(red) and black ground
then other plug from profec goes to solenoid valve
profec unit in car need pipe from intake to get vac and boost reading

valve has three holes basically but i only know the set up for a single but one needs signal from intake and other to wastegate and the other stays open to bleed boost to maintain pressure and prevent overboost

Jono,
Don\'t put the boost controller on stock twins, just let the ecu control the boost.

Carl:
I have the following on the car:
HKS down pipe
R Majic decat pipe
5Zigen cat back
ARC Induction kit (Soon to be binned for a custom)
Monster IC
Apexi Power FC

........... Still not fit it???

Mine is the same spec as jono\'s and i want to know the answer too!!

I would definitely say install it. After I installed mine the boost curve on the dyno was much more controlled than what the ecu did. Plus you can turn it down when the weather is cr*p

JD,

Sorry I didn\'t find the installation diagram for you mate.  My bad.

My setup was almost identical to yours, and it worked a treat.  God knows how to install it, and he ain\'t telling !

Think I found what you are looking for dude !!  http://robrobinette.com/profec.htm

There is no need for the install of a boost controller on the stock twins, the power FC ECU can easily be tuned on the wastegate to control the boost and duty.It just takes a little patience in the setting up.If the boost curve is poor then the ecu isn\'t being tuned right.

As for wet day\'s,your right foot can control that.

Not to say it can\'t be done,I just don\'t think there is much point in spending extra money on what is not needed.

Seeing as I have one and like the idea of being able to turn the boost down if the missus drives it I think I\'m going to fit mine, would you recomend one on a single setup as everything I\'m doing it leading toward that at the moment.

Alan

Boost can easily be turned down on the commmander.
You can have 2 settings on that that are easily changed.

Yes on a single you need one.
