Vandals - What are the dimensions of the RX7 boot?

After some delightful "people" decided to put the rear window through on my brothers RX7, we need to get a rear window delivered.

We have found one but it is near London (we are in Nottingham!) and I\'ve been asked to get a quote from a courier, but I am nowhere near the car!

Does anybody know the rough dimensions and weight of the boot lid?

Its a 1992 twin turbo, which is the FD, right?

Yes, just looked at some pictures of the FC, its the curvier FD model!

Have you not got glass cover on your insurance? Doesn\'t affect your no claims bonus and is usually only about £50-80 excess. Might take them a while to get the glass in stock mind.

I\'m not sure actually, I know its only third party, fire and theft!

I\'ll have to ask him, although I\'m not 100% convinced that they won\'t put the insurance up at renewal time because of it.

Not that I don\'t trust the insurance companies, of course!

You could always contact Gary and get a nice Lexan one!!  Save you some weight and Gary will be happy to courier without needing any dimensions!

Yeah double check it. I\'ve claimed loads of times on glass cover. Stones seem to home in on my windscreens Never had probs with them bumping premiums the next year either.

I thought they only covered the windscreen and not the rear window?

Im sure I read somewhere that it\'s about 40kgs?

I\'ve always had glass cover on my insurance. Replace any windows so far as I know.
