you know your Greddy elbow did you get the pipe that gos to the intercooler from the elbow cant seem to find one for mine

Tiger_kpt

Hmmm. Yeah... that\'s one part which I do not have at the moment. I\'m hoping that WGT can sort me out with that when they come to fitting it. I\'ll make a post to ask what to use and where from for that pipe - and keep you updated.

fletcher9017

nice one what ht leeds have you got looking at some but dont know what to get

Tiger_kpt

Well I highly recommend Magnecor leads. I wouldn\'t go as far as using the 10mm (blue) variant from them as that\'s a bit overkill. I went for the KV85 range. 8.5mm (red) wires.

I got them cheap new though. I ordered alot of parts direct from Pettit Racing in the USA. Spoke to a guy called Jeff there. He gave me fairly good discount on the shipping, but paid in full for the parts. The order was with me within literally three or four days - sent via FEDEX International Airfreight Express service. Paid no customs duty on it either. And because of the exchange rate the leads worked out like £20 new. Even the plugs (both 7\'s and 9\'s... worked out like £5 each). Very cheap in comparison to over here.
If you want anything from him, go through me, and i\'ll sort it for you. Visit their website. Just type Pettit Racing into a Google search.

are the 10mm really that bad because ive just colour coded my engine bay in blue

Tiger_kpt

No, nothing wrong with using the 10mm blue ones from Magnecor. Wouldn\'t have any ill or side-effects with using them. Can only help. Just a little bit of an over-kill for a mildy tuned engine and are more expensive than the 8.5mm KV85 ones. Using either would be fine. Just whether you think they\'re worth the extra expense mate.

fletcher9017

i want about 400 bhp out my rex so how much money do you want for the 10mm magnecor +p&p

Tiger_kpt

Just looking on the site now. The 10mm and the 8.5mm wires are pictured as red in colour. Can\'t really see them in the engine bay anyway! lol. There may be a colour option when ordering, not sure.

The 10mm wires are priced at $75 and the 8.5mm wires at $60.
Shipping wouldn\'t be a great amount. Probably $30 tops. I would suggest buying the new plugs from them at the same time too.

Are you running a standard AST tank at the moment? If you do then you want shut of it fast. Pettit Racing metal one is mint. Fitted it myself. Looks ace. Works better. Solves a very common problem of splitting on the standard plastic tank down it\'s seam due to heat, dispersing of the coolant and a blown engine.

got one but its a d1 spec need to put it on but want to change all the hoses to blue if they only come in one colour then ill have the 8.5 ones was going to put new plugs but dont know witch ones to put in would you give me a hand with putting the ast on

fletcher9017

Tiger_kpt

Yeah no worries. AST takes around 30minutes tops mate. Remove battery and casing to gain access to it. Simple job. Lose a bit of coolant but just top up afterwards.

I would go with NGK BUR7EQP for leading and NGK BUR9EQP for trailing. I did this rather than 9\'s all round and they work great. If you ran 7\'s as leading then I doubt you would ever have a flooded engine again mate as they run hotter and as per Mazda spec.

They are expensive over here. Really expensive, which is why people run 9\'s all round here as it\'s alot cheaper to do so. But if buying from the US this is not an issue.

AST only holds water - well coolant.

fletcher9017

well can you order them for me when would you like the money for them best go and do my ast

Tiger_kpt

Let me know what you want and i\'ll get a total for you mate.

If you want a hand with the AST give me a shout. Not too difficult.

fletcher9017

the same as you the 8.5 magnecor and the 7&9 plugs + p&p
