fuel cut? i dunno problem what ever it is

occassionally (not too rare, once a journey or something like that)  i boot the accelerator, it starts to go and then .....................................pop.....nothing.  come off and then accelerate again, absolutely fine.  

sometimes happen when been cruising in forth for instance, decide to over take.    so drop a gear into third and foot it.........goes to go for a split second then ...................................................DOH, front end goes back down.  

it never happens on gradual acceleration, only ever when i floor the accelerator as such

i am not really sure what a fuel cut is etc, is it something like that..

my boost controller has gone t1ts up and i am stuck in low boost setting 0.75, could it be something that this could be doing.  i dont remember it ever happening before.

my car is T70 single, Big V mount, bosch 044, etc

sounds like fuel surge, do you have a swirl pot for the fuel? is the happening on a quarter of a tank or less?

i dont have a swirl pot, that i am aware of.  it happens more when at around a quater of a tank.  i have to fill up around there ish anyway as the 044 doesnt pick up so low in the tank apparently.  

it has happened when i have been more full though

hmmm sounds like fuel surge to me, was a fuel sock fitted to the end of the pump, fitting one will help matters
