Hello,

Had a bit of fun the other day.. Was driving down the A46 in the rain, flicked the wipers on, all well and good, until the drivers side wiper decided to snap in half and fly off behind me. Now question is, it seemed to break more than just the wiper blade itself, meaning i\'m going to need a whole new wiper arm.
Any suggestions on where to get one from, I could go to the dealer, but I expect it\'ll be mega $$$ so was wondering first of all if there were any other options..

Also on a side note, nothing major (i hope), the car is driving spot on, but parked it up in city centre the other day and when I came back on the floor in front of the radiator was a small amount of cooleant (orange..). Hasn\'t done it since, coolant levels are fine, but i think might need a flush. Any real need to worry?

Cheers

Interesting, I had mine snap at the plastic sleeve. (where it sticks out from the wiper arm)
I\'d recommend you talk to Jimmy\'s or give the local scrap yards a ring :yes

As for the water, it may have just been excess pushed out of the expansion bottle, keep a closer eye on the levels for awhile, if you see lots being pushed out you may have a persihed hose or similar. (Quite common for the high pressure ones to split and spray out under high load.)

RX Motors //www.rxmotors.co.uk (Tim or Matt) they will sort you out.

As for Coolant, i sugest you mark your Levels (rad and overflow bottle) and possably change the Rad cap for good measure (they tend to go soft after time and leak slightly). Just keep a close eye on the coolant and just make sure it is not blowing the Pipes up (so they go hard) when its cold and stuff like that.

I went for a single wiper conversion, pretty sure the old ones are knocking about if you want them.;)
Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of an rx7.

Cheers for the advice guys! Have contacted Jimmy\'s and they\'re sending me out a new wiper :)

I\'ll keep an eye on the coolant from now on too, have already changed the rad cap (it was a little bit knackered) so will see how it goes, though the past few days its been fine pretty much, though I did manage to flood the car for the first time, d\'oh! Only took a few mins to sort that out though.

Cheers again, going to have a good look at all the hoses tmrw too, see if anythings amiss

:)

You may want to flush the coolant system and put some fresh anti freeze in too (Antifreeze goes Acidic if not changed at least every two years)

I might give the whole cooling system an overhaul then...looks straight forward enough looking through the manual, can\'t be as much of a pain as my MR2 is, given that all the cooling is in the front of the car instead of front and rear...! I\'ve got some blue ethylene glycol coolant, thats the right stuff yeah? hope so anyway
