Does this sound like water seal failure?

Rite i think the water seals may have failed on my FD. Heres the story
I had started to lose water about a month ago the overflow bottle appeared to be overflowing and the collant buzzer was coming on most morning after the car had been sat overnight. Changed the AST cap and that fixed it.... for about 2 weeks!
Now the coolant buzzer is coming on and then going off after a min or 2 at random! This has been happening for about 2 weeks but i\'ve never seen any high temps on the power fc.
I tried a couple of the usual checks this evening. Topped up the coolant at the filler then ran the car with the cap off. Didn\'t see loads off bubbles, however the coolant slowly rose to the top of the filler neck then overflowed a bit.
When i turned the car off there was lots of bubbles rising to the surface at the filler.
Anybody else had these symtoms?

sounds alot like my last one, was water seals too.. are you having trouble starting the car? white smoke constant from the exhaust?
Is there mayo under the oil cap and on the dip stick bud...? these are the common signs its a water seal... hope its not in your case... have you checked everywhere for leekage?

No seen an  excessive amount of white smoke only small amount on start up which is to be expected due to condensation. bit of mayo under the oil cap but none on the dip stick!
Have you still got that hks t04e for sale?

The mayo under the cap could just be to the cold air and condensation at the moment. As for you overflow tank filling this could be due to you over filling the system by constantly topping it up. Where was the water level sitting at the centre filler cap in the mornings? I used to top mine up all the time as it moved and inch or two but turned out that its level was just down a bit and not at the very top like I thought it should be, so the water was being forced into the overflow.
