Hi Guys,

A couple of weeks ago my cars battery just died on me, have charged it up at the same time and its been ok apart from friday night when I tried starting a couple of times when its been hot and it was quite sluggish when starting.

The car is running very rich (my own fault for not getting the mapping finished) at low revs.

Will be getting the battery checked but I want to replace the plugs and plug leads at the same time. What do you guys recommend ? NGK 9s ? Does the car need different for leading/trailing ?

What leads are best ? Magnicor seem ok.

Other than the last couple of weeks the car has been running faultlessly with no issues at all. The engine was rebuild about 7k miles ago and never had starting problems before. The coolant and oil arent being used excessively either as I was thinking \'rebuild\', something I could do without before Christmas lol.

So trying the plugs/leads to see if this gets rid of the problem first of all and got my fingers, legs, arms, toes etc crossed to hope that it does. I only use the car at weekends and even then I sometimes dont do more than about 3 miles driving, sometimes none.

Your thoughts would be much appreciated,
Cheers,
Gareth

Hi Gareth,

If your still on twin Turbo\'s you only need 9\'s and we have had no problems in the 4 years we have sold Magnacor leads

We would recommend the 8mm ones which reach fine if routed correctly ( sorry Chris) but will say the 10mm thick ones are a bit of a pig to fit.

We sell the 9\'s for £38 delivered and the Magnacor lead set for £50.76 delivered.

Hope this helps.

Yeh my problem was they did\'nt want to go the same route (well not all of them anyway)

But belive me I\'ll live with the Plug leads if i can get the rest of it going.

Jit

While I was down at Tims, he suggested that i use stock mazda leads as they were the only ones which fit right

Roy

i have magnecor leads and ngk 9\'s just installed, runs a lot smoother than the standard leads and the 7\'s in before
