Looking at getting a boost controller and like the GReddy Profec B Spec II or Apexi AVCR, I assume the Apexi is prob a bit better but is it worth the extra money??? anyone had experience of both??? is the GReddy good?

Carl

I would reccomend the AVCR.

Go for Greddy, all i do with mine is watch the boost and when the mood takes me press one button for \'Hi\' and then when ive scared myself press the same button for \'lo\' :yes :yes :Thumbs-up Easy peasy. I cant imagine what else you would want from a boost controller.

:Thumbs-up Greddy any day of the week, I have installed the AVCR in a couple of s14s and 300zx they are a PITA plus they overboost and spike when they self learn the boost curve which can be dangerous on a FD.

I luv my Greddy the easiest boost controller on the market the way it handles the boost curve is good, I would say the Blitz controllers come a close second

I have set up both,a done quite a few others too!,but find that the AVCR is very easy to use and setup.I have not had any issues with over boosting on any of them.
But everyone has their own personal taste.
At the end of the day, they are all pretty good.:Thumbs-up

I was asking another tuner this question, I was told that they will both do the job, the Greddy is simple but that is due to the fact that it has less setup options than the AVCR. Something like being able to set boost levels on the AVCR at every 500rpm and in every gear - stuff like that.  Oh and it\'s software is very similar to the Apexi PFC we all know and love! ;)

Did I understand - NO! :King :Laugh :spank ;)

Deffinately - if it aint broke, dont fix it!

If it\'s been setup properly you have no reason other than to monitor :)

chrisJDM

yep u r right i get my mate greg to set it up then all i do is monitor it.
