i mailed RC today bout mappin the FD, they replied sayin one of their technicians has an FD and they are able to map the power fc\'s for the FD

has anyone here ever contacted them or had any dealings with them in the past

thanks

rx7veilside

they have been around a long time and have had a lot of cars thru their workshop so should know what their doing..how much are they charging for mapping

peterwolds

well known on evo\'s have a good name - RX7\'s dont know what knowledge they have

Aren\'t they close to WGT? May as well go and see Pip if you\'re making the journey over here.

I used them on my Evo 6.5 TME and they were brilliantly knowledgable. They do their own chip programming on the Evos and RR tune stuff to be powerful but safe. Back then (4 years or so) they only really knew Evos and Scoobies, so I am not sure of their pedigree on FDs.

Craig - was your tommi red ? loved them in red drooled when i 1st saw one had white alloys  - i had a white V i was chuffed with style until i saw TME

Perhaps not the best if \'breaking new ground\' in my experience. Additionally, they would need to have improved their communication skills considerably to make dealing with them easy.

It has taken some time to reduce the venom of the original reply to this level of restraint.

Don\'t bother.. Just take it to WGT.

My Sister has lots of work done by them on her STI and she told me once they had an Rx7 on the rollers when she was up there and they pushed it off (if you get what i mean), Seriously its not far from WGT and its not a plesent feeling to start with signing the bit of paper waving them from any Liability when they Roller your car.

There is a MASIVE diffrence in setting an Evo or STI up and an Rx7, they need to be run richer for a start and alot of people can\'t get there head round the Split ign system.

that pretty much why im askin...

they said one of the their technicians has owned an FD for a while so im hopin they now have some experience...ill be ringin them monday to get details

Andy is the tecky with the FD. He uses WGT for more in depth work. Nice chap, and nice outfit. They have a close relationship with WGT.

Cheers,

I would say your much much safer dealing with a Rotary company by far for mapping.

I have found with our Rotarys being something akin to tuning a hand grenade with the care they require.

So I have found personally that just because a company can tune a boinger successfully it is not guaranteed that they can tune a Rotary without it going BANG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the best Clive

Have used them in the past on my old boinger, they map to quite a high boost level... Would echo everyone else and take it to a tried and tested rotary specialist.

RC are EVO buff\'s i wouldn\'t take an FD to them. I had a mate who had a bad experiance with them but i know they have done some pretty crazy evo builds in the past. They are very good in there own feild i.e. evo\'s but i would go to WGT if your up that way makes more sense. If there happens to be any thing minor wrong with your car Pip is more likely to pic it up than RC as they arn\'t RX7 specialists.

Daz

hmm...ill have a chat wit eddy doyle, ive heard one or two little stories bout WGT but im sure eddy will put my mind at ease

Grizzly

How many good storys do you want to here :yes
