With the season finished..its time to rebuild the car!!!

We have learnt an awful lot about the car this year...mainly how it has a healthy passion for eating bank notes ;)

The main areas we are looking to address:
Weight
Suspension
Aerodynamics
Power

Weight.....
We\'ve finally removed the many brackets littered around the car.
The doors weigh a tonne!  So we\'ve taken the electric windows out, removed a vast amount of the door structure, and we are getting the glass reformed in Plexi-glass
The rear glass window is also getting reformed in Plexi...that thing is damn heavy!!!
Dash is being removed, and replaced in a carbon Dash
Front wings replaced with Carbon wings

I\'m now up to over 50miles a week running!!!  Guess I have to stay as thin as the car ;)

Suspension
Changing the anti roll bars front and rear
Rose Jointing the wishbones inboard and outboard
and a new project in redesigning the upper and lower wishbones

Aerodynamics
New carbon front splitter
Redesign the rear wing, and top wing
Flat bottom floor, and rear diffuser

Power
Not much left to do here.
Fitting water injection
HKS Twin Power
Greddy BOV
Remap to about 1.3 Bar

Others
New Wiring loom
Dry break fuel system and Fuel cell
New pedal box
Single Oil Cooler
Oil Cooler for power steering Rack
New Oil breathing system
New Removable Steering boss
4 In/Out car cameras!
New livery

So something to keep me busy over the winter period!!!

Next year this car will win the championship!

is there any part on the car that these main areas do not involve......???????, lol.

sounds like you have a lot to do, but if you can get it all done then i think you might def be owning that championship.  you can get fibre glass doors, just incase you werent aware

and rear boot hatchs.  they aint necessaryily cheap but, they are available (i think)

Atomic, if you are getting the rear hatch glass re-done in plexi-glass can you figure out a price for two? I\'m really keen to not be using glass in mine next year. As to heavy doors -well my bi-metal hole cutter is calling me from the garage :D

Im going to go and see him tomorrow.

Do you want some plastic side windows as well?  Much safer in an accident, does shatter like glass and you can boot it out easier if the door is jammed!!!

Not that I intend to Crash ;)

TonyC

Certainly do! Needs to be polycarbonate for the side windows - a specific ruling in the regs, believe it or not.
