Have you had it mapped recently?

I would seriously want to get a specialist to check that out before driving the car anymore, especially with a nice expensive single tub !!

Running too lean ??

bally

no real speciaists down this way goin 2 dragon as i said before just hope she holds up till then just hope the guys in dragon can help me

Prof

That must be running lean to get that hot !

What does it Rev to when you start it ?

Is this an FC or FD ? - it looks like FC by the position of the lambda sensor

  Damn that is hot!!

I would hire a trailer and beg, borrow or steal a car with a towbar on it if you dont have one!

£30 for the trailer and could stop any damage done! :yes

(you will probably save more than that on fuel alone by not driving the rex there!)

HOLY SH1T !!!

Let me get this clear, it\'s getting this hot at IDLE ????

The car is an FD and that probe is for the EGT gauge I think as it has one on the dash!!

ye that was the other day at idle just over 1000 rpm then settilling to just under 1000 after i let her run a bit at the mo im running off boost and tryin to keep revs low as a precaution  .as jono said that is a exhaust temp sensor that shows normal i will also point out that this not happen all the time that was the first time

Red and Single

Thats mad mate......I simply cannot believe that much heat being created at tickover !! :eek

ye 2 say i am a little worred is a understatement i do want to go to dragon for the work but dont really wanna risk the rex shes my pride and joy. i had steam on her 2 day from wet heat wrap i shat my self thoght i had blown sunmmit shes only done 67000km was at the point of crying has any 1 here used hyline in cardiff for there rex? i have for my liner has any 1 else used them ???

Tintin

Poss running really rich ??? if it runs too rich not all the fuel will get burnt and then burn in the turbo , is that right ??? but I would have thought the turbo would need to be hot to ignite it in the first place , other thing that pops to mind what about the timing being too retarded meaning the fuel is still burning in the turbo ???

Could possibly be talking complete balls though
